MEET JOSH
Conservative Leadership Delivering Results for Johnson County
Josh Marshall was born in Madison, Indiana. Raised by his loving parents, Ron and Lois Marshall, Josh was instilled with decisive work ethic and a will to serve others. A man of principle, Josh’s life acts as a reflection of the values Hoosiers hold dear—faith, family, and freedom.
In 2000, Josh attended college at the University of Indianapolis where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management and Human Resource Management. He later went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in Finance. After, he spent nine years working in logistics focusing on building efficient processes and implementing cost savings initiatives.
During this period, Josh realized he wanted to help enact change within his community. In 2007, he became involved with Jeff Cardwell’s—his future father-in-law’s—city-council campaign for Indianapolis. It was then he learned first-hand the role local government played and the tremendous impact it has on the day-to-day lives of Hoosiers. In 2011, Josh volunteered for policy working groups for Vice President Mike Pence’s Gubernatorial campaign and was appointed as a Precinct Committeeman in Marion County.
In 2013, Josh entered public service full time with the Mike Pence Administration. He went on to be the Chief of Operations and Finance for the Management Performance Hub under the Office of Management and Budget. The Management and Performance Hub was the first national data analytics hub in the country with the aim of leveraging technology to help tackle some of Indiana’s most pressing issues such as infant mortality and the opioid epidemic. Josh was responsible for the implementation of the innovative technology helping drive continuous improvement across state agencies in Indiana. He exceled at translating strategies into comprehensive action plans and executing them.
Josh continued serving his community as an elected Precinct Committeeman from 2016 - 2018 and had the privilege of representing the Indiana GOP as a National Delegate in the 2016 Republican National Convention.
2018 was a big year for the Marshall family as a whole – a new job and a new home. Josh joined Brite Systems, Inc. where he currently serves as the Vice President of Technology Services. Josh, his wife Sara, their four-year-old son Landry, and two dogs Lincoln and Winston, moved to Greenwood, Indiana in the Spring of 2018. They are proud Johnson County residents and active members of the Johnson County Republican Party.
Since 2000, Josh and his family have attended Grace Assembly of God in New Whiteland, Indiana. Josh remains an appointed Precinct Committeeman for Johnson County, a member of the Advisory Council for The People Helping People Network, Treasurer of the Lincoln Roundtable, and Secretary of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Motorcycle Drill Team.
